Make the Tangier Renault plant a global benchmark in environmental excellence
In Tangier, Morocco, Veolia supports one of the biggest plants of the Renault Group to make it a global benchmark in environmental excellence.
Veolia has implemented a biomass solution using olive pomace to cover the heating requirements of the car manufacturing plant and operate it without releasing any CO2 into the atmosphere.
By burning at over 1 000 degrees in the plant's three boilers, the olive pomace releases its potential by producing a thermal energy that meets the plant's needs.
Key figures
-
Performance: reduction by half of the water used to manufacture each vehicle, thanks to closed-loop water recycling
-
Savings: 135 000 tonnes of CO2 avoided per year and not released into the atmosphere
