Sustainable Development Goal 6 is clear: water for all by 2030. By definition this means leaving no one behind. However, today, billions of people are still living without safe water - their households, schools, workplaces, farms and factories struggling to survive and thrive.
Marginalized groups - women, children, refugees, indigenous people, disabled people and many others - are often neglected and are sometimes suffering discrimination as they try to access and manage safe water.
This World Water Day, 22nd March, is dedicated to water crisis solving by tackling the reasons why so many people are being left behind.
Active in Africa for more than 20 years, we are proud to play a role in achieving Sustainable Development Goals and contributing to access to essential services and resource conservation in the countries in which we operate.
Every year, in all Veolia Africa’s countries, great initiatives mark this day, its goal, and rally our employees around the important question of water in the world.
