The program
The Redal Hubgrade: the innovation edge
Innovation dictated that at Redal, in Rabat, Christophe Maquet should participate in the 1st anniversary of Hubgrade, which is part of the company's digital drive and puts digital technology at the heart of its strategy.
A true hypervision centre dedicated to operational performance, the Hubgrade can remotely control the facilities, equipment and infrastructures related to our water, electricity and liquid waste activities. This includes wastewater treatment and pre-treatment plants, as well as substations, storage tanks and water distribution networks. Using the data, the system provides a practical response to Covid 19-related constraints while increasing operational synergies within the various electricity, water and wastewater business units.
A second Hubgrade will be coming on stream in early 2021, this time at Amendis in Tangier.
Capitalizing on training and young Moroccans
It was off to the Amendis Training and Skills Centre (CFC) in Tetouan for the Africa & Middle East Area Manager. Since it was set up in 2017, it has helped more than 3,000 agents to develop their talents our environmental businesses. It is a real national centre of excellence that has been able to offer a training program in line with both the needs and specificities of Amendis' businesses, and those of local authorities.
Alongside the 27 CFC trainers, Christophe Maquet also shared in the success of the launch of the second class of work-study students. "These are tremendous guarantees for the future. We can count on young Moroccans, who are skilled and efficient, to continue to make their mark in our businesses, to be one step ahead, and to anticipate the changes that are bound to occur in our activities".
Triple QSE certification for Amendis
In fact, at the Amendis Tetouan CFC Christophe Maquet participated in a first in Morocco alongside Bureau Véritas: the presentation of triple QSE certification covering the entire scope of Amendis Tetouan for its water sector activities. Amendis has thus obtained the highest level of recognition for its management system in accordance with ISO 14001 V2015 (Environment) and 45001 V2018 (Occupational Health and Safety) standards, and its renewal in accordance with the ISO 9001 V2015 (Quality) standard.
"This triple certification honours the efforts and investments made by Amendis and confirms its commitment and approach to sustainable development, which is aimed at all parties, whether they be shareholders, customers, suppliers, visitors, employees or even citizens," said Christophe Maquet.
A tribute to everyday heroes
In the field, at the Boussafou substation in Tetouan and the Agdal station in Rabat, Christophe Maquet was able to meet some 40 everyday heroes representing all Veolia's drinking water, wastewater and electricity activities in Morocco.
Alongside François de Rochambeau, Director of Veolia Morocco, Chouhaid Nasr, Director of Redal and Antoine Boo, Director of Amendis, he emphasized the sense of service, the mobilization, courage and action of these employees who, despite the pandemic, have continued their mission and delivered our essential services so as not to add to the crisis.
