As it has every year for the last 12 years, Redal, a subsidiary of the Veolia Group in Morocco, has reaffirmed its commitment to the quality of the beaches and coastline through its participation in the Clean Beaches operation.
Part of a CSR approach (Corporate Social Responsibility), the Clean Beaches operation is a guarantee of the quality of the Skhirat beach near Rabat. It confirms the long term social commitment to all stakeholders (Mohammed VI Foundation for the Protection of the Environment, local authorities, NGOs, etc.).
Redal's participation in this operation is part of a wider framework of measures taken by the subsidiary and its partners to ensure the quality of Skhirat beach and its infrastructure. More specifically, these measures include the development, cleaning and management of the beach; monitoring hygiene-related aspects (including bathing water quality) and safety-related aspects as well as establishing an environmental awareness program.
For the 12th consecutive year all these investments have enabled Redal to obtain the Blue Flag Label - an environmental quality label for the beaches - for its work in Skhirat.
