And the winner is...Amendis! At the 12 th International Development Observatory (ODI) held on December 6, BearingPoint and its partners – La Tribune Afrique, HEC Paris, and the French Council of Investors in Africa (CIAN) – awarded our Moroccan subsidiary with the International Development Trophy recognizing French companies that have continued to expand their operations in Africa despite the Covid-19 pandemic.
Captivated by its project to reuse wastewater in northern Morocco, which safeguarded in particular the water supply in Tangier and Tetouan by preserving drinking water, the judges awarded Veolia this trophy ahead of other shortlisted companies such as Air Liquide and Eranove. The prestigious judging panel comprised executives and leaders from both the public and private sector.
Congratulations to the entire Amendis team who participated in this great project!
In Tangier, northern Morocco, treated wastewater was reused in particular to water 225 hectares of public and private land, representing around 39% of all green spaces in the city.
In a country aiming to reuse 325 million cubic meters of wastewater by 2030, Amendis is setting a shining example.
