During the Ghana Mining Week 2022, Veolia Ghana has just received the award for the best water treatment company from Forbes Monaco, official partner of the Ghana Gold Expo, and Aurum Global Partners for the 2022 Mine Conservation and Reclamation Award. On this occasion, Laurent Piat, Managing Director of Veolia Ghana, spoke on a panel to present Veolia's innovative solutions for the treatment of mining water.
In Ghana, Veolia, through its subsidiary Veolia Ghana Limited, has been working with AngloGold Ashanti, the world's third largest gold producer, since 2014 to optimize the treatment of process water at the Iduapriem and Obuasi gold mines. Veolia guarantees the quality of the water needed to process the ore, eliminate dust and meet the needs of the personnel.
